On Saturday May 17th the opening of the exhibit will be celebrated by scores of motocross champions from the past and present. The museum opens at 10:00AM that morning and the champions will arrive starting at 1:00PM and be available for autographs. Admission is just $8.00 for adults. At 5:30 PM the doors will open for the huge celebration party in a lovely outdoor setting behind the museum. Famed race announcer and Motorcycle Hall of Famer Larry Huffman will be the master of ceremonies at this important event to help raise money for the non-profit San Diego Auto Museum. Many of motocross’s most famous legends have already committed to this event, including 4-time World Motocross Champion and Suzuki Team Manager Roger DeCoster, Team Suzuki rider Mike Allessi, and past champions such as Broc Glover, Gary Jones, Gary Bailey, David Bailey, and Marty Tripes. National media is also expected to attend. 25 framed pictures of many of the famous athletes that will be present will be signed and offered for auction along with many other items donated by the champions.
